Mwale unhappy with first-half show

MUTARE Sports Club coach Blessing Mwale is not happy with the way his charges have fared in the first half of the National Rugby League season. Mutare started the season on a bad note when they suffered a huge 3-108 defeat at the hands of Old Georgians. They, however, soon got their act together when they upstaged Matabeleland Busters.

But in seven matches, they have only won two. They lost flyhalf Sam Musayarira and fullback Ngoni Chibuwe who joined the Sharks Academy.

“Most of our players are leaving the club. We had three players who left because they got good contracts with Sharks,” said Mwale. “Others could not turn up for our fixtures, we used to travel with 19 players and at times with no substitutes and I think that is one of the reasons for our poor run.”
