‘My Own Boss’ woos women entrepreneurs

From the auditions that were held throughout the country only four women had made it through. Rumbi Matinanga, the spokesperson of the reality show, said the four women had brilliant business ideas.

“We got impressive business proposals from all the four women but producers of the show felt there was need to involve more women in this season so they had to do another round of auditions targeted at women contestants in Harare,” Matinanga said.

The upcoming season four of the business reality show has been dubbed “Buy Zimbabwe Edition” and it seeks to identify, nurture, educate and expose raw talent for youths between the ages 18 and 35.

Whoever wins in season four will walk away with US$25 000 to become their own boss.
The show will screen on ZBC-TV as well as on free-to-air Africa Unite satellite channel over  13 weeks.

“The grand finale will be on August 31, 2012 where the winner will walk away with                    US$25 000. Would-be entrants should be Zimbabwean, understand business, team leaders with good communications skills as well as aspire to be entrepreneurs and must have a bankable business idea.

“Only 20 contestants will be selected countrywide to qualify to enter My Own Boss House where the action happens,” Matinanga said.
