Organisers for the Nash TV Colour Fun Festival have unveiled the musicians who are set to perform at the event.
Musicians who include Freeman, Saintfloew and Holy Ten are set to headline the inaugural NashTV Colour Fest Family Fun Day scheduled for August 24 at Alexandra Sports Club in Harare.
Known for their influence among children and families, the trio is tipped to give festival-goers value for their money.
Michael Magz, Nisha Ts, Gemma Griffiths, Chamvari, King Her and Kyla Blac are also part of the line-up.
Besides music from the youthful stars, festival-goers will be treated to Zumba workouts, quad biking, colour splashing and tug-of-war sessions.
In an interview, NashTV general manager, Mona-Lisa Dube, said it was all systems go.
“All is set for the Colour Fest that will become an annual event.
“We expect families to show up in numbers for the event that we are going to take countrywide.
“It’s a family event where we have put everything in place to ensure that it lives to its billing,” she said.
Dube, whose stable is synonymous with sold-out events, expressed confidence in their line-up for the inaugural event.
“The event is open for everyone who needs fun out there. We are just waiting for the family event on the 24th of August.
“Families’ needs are all catered for at the event.”
Judging by the line-up, Freeman — unquestionably the biggest act of the day — has been tipped to show maturity on and off stage after his evolution.
Saintfloew, who is now in a better space after exorcising drug demons in rehabilitation, will add variety at this event.
Two more rap sensations — Holy Ten and Michael Magz — will be out to prove a point that Zim Hip Hop is in safe hands.
The 2024’s best find, Nisha Ts, is another act of the day to look forward to.
Buoyed by the overwhelming reception of her three singles — “Kutsamwa Kune Labour”, “Majarajita” and “Gevha” — Nisha Ts’ career continues to burn a trail of success with each passing day.
A passionate performer, Nisha Ts’ confidence levels, stage communication and interaction have proved to be way beyond her age.
As such, a lot is expected from the songbird whose lyrical depths appeal across generations.
Fellow stars Chamvari, King Her and Kyla Blac are not strangers to such big events.
It will be a total celebration of Zimbabwe’s youthful creatives dubbed “Young Turks” who are literally taking the showbiz scene by storm.
With the demand for family events high, this is the perfect opportunity for learners on school holidays to meet their role models.
However, students have welcomed the initiative as they can’t wait to participate at the fun run.
“This is what we have been waiting for, especially this holiday. I can’t wait to take my friends,” said 15 year old Panashe Motsi.
