HWANGE Colliery Company Limited managing director Thomas Makore says the ban of Chipangano head coach Nation Dube from football is bad for Hwange Football Club.

Dube, a former Hwange gifted midfielder who has been in the clubas coaching structures for over 10 years,A was initially suspended from being a Warriors assistant coach in early March for allegedly plotting to manipulate the outcome of the national teamas Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Swaziland.

Despite the fact that the Hwange coach has continuously pleaded innocence, Zifa handed the ex national team assistant coach a five-year ban- a decision made during an extraordinary congress held in the capital last Saturday.

a?Itas sad that Nation (Dube) has been handed a life ban of five years. He is a good coach. Our club has been inconsistent. We recently lost to Chapungu after beating How Mine at home. While we have managed to keep a number of our players maybe it will be wise for us to reinforce our coaching department,a? said Makore.

ChipanganoA have had a different start to the 2016 season, sit on position eight on the log with 10 points after posting three wins, four loses, a single draw and with a -3 goal difference.

Dube (ABOVE) was part of Hwange FC machinery that made its maiden appearance at the 2012 CAF Confederations Cup inter club football contest assisting Zambian mentor Tenant Chilumba.

The coal miners bowed out after falling to Amal Etbara of Sudan.

Following the match fixing allegations, ZIFA also imposed another life ban on its former chief executive Henrietta Rushwaya together with former Zifa programmes officer Jonathan Musavengana while player agent Kudzi Shaba was acquitted.

Former national team player and Zifa executive committee member Edzai Kasinauyo who was also connected to the match-fixing web together with former Warriors coach Ian Gorowa were both handed 10-year bans

The bans will need further endorsement from Fifa in order to have a global effect.

About 85 players and officials were banned for illicit activities around national team games played mostly in Asia between 2007 and 2009, but the sanctions were never endorsed by Fifa.
