Zimbabweans from all walks of life as well as car burnout fanatics are set to gather at ZKS Spinners Arena on 22 February (Saturday) at an event which is part of celebrations of the National Youth Day.
The National Youth Day is on February 21 — which is the late President Robert Mugabe’s birthday, who was born in 1924 and died in 2019 on September 6.

The event will be characterised by different activities including burnouts, bike static, car displays as well as fireworks.
Situated at Emthunzini near Khami Dam, the ZKS Spinners dedicated itself to be among places nationwide, where people will gather and celebrate the day.
Spinners who will do duty and showcase their spinning and dragging skills are Amakhosi, Mavusane, Ben, AK 47, Mac Dee, Mastanda and Sbahle.

Zakhele “Mabaso” Mlilo who is the founder and director of ZKS Spinners Arena said Youths play a vital role in making sure the economy of the country is being driven in the right direction.
He said youths have to celebrate this day as it is all about their contributions to the country at the same time celebrating the life and legacy of the late former president.
“The National Youth Day is a day that celebrates youths and their contribution to the beautiful nation of Zimbabwe. As ZKS, we also saw it fit to be amongst other places that celebrate this iconic day. Hence, we will do so through a belated celebration at our Arena.

“We are inviting people from all walks of life to come and celebrate with us in style as we also cherish the culture of spinning and rifting. Advanced tickets are available at Veezed Alignment Centre,” said Mabaso.
Mabaso said they are open to doing business with up-and-coming young business people who are willing to be part of the event by providing different services.
“The country is open for business, and we are also open to doing business with different youths who can book stalls and sell different goods and services as we encourage them to stand on their own and be independent,” said Mabaso.
