Online Reporter

HARARE City Volleyball is set to leave for Mozambique on Friday for this year’s edition of the Zone Six games, which get underway on Sunday at the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane Courts in Maputo.

The games, set to run up to January 15, will also act as a qualifying tournament for the African Volleyball Club Championships later this year.

The venue of the African Volleyball Club Championships is yet to be determined.

“We are ready to depart in a few hours from now, all administration modalities are in place,” said club manager, Godknows Jembere.

“Covid-19 tests have been done and we are happy, the team is ok. We are traveling by road through Mutare into Mozambique.

“The team is intact, we however have a few changes where some old players are not part of the team for various reasons… we have new faces and for development’s sake, it is good for us.”

The team will rest on Saturday in preparation for their first pool games on Sunday.
