The highly anticipated national finals of the Carling Black Label DJ Clash are finally here.
After a nationwide search that saw over 350 mixtapes submitted from eight regions, the 25 finalists are ready to battle it out for the coveted title of National Champion DJ.
The clash takes place tonight at the Hippodrome in Braeside, Harare.
All eyes will be on reigning champion DJ Irvene X as he defends his title against a fresh new wave of talented DJs.
This year’s competition promises to be a battle for the ages.
Not only will the DJs be vying for the prestigious title and a hefty chunk of the US$15 000 prize pool, but they will also be performing alongside some of Zimbabwe’s hottest artistes.
Representing Zimdancehall and Hip-hop, Saintfloew, Voltz and ChillSpot (represented by Levels) will go head-to-head with Mushroom Media (represented by DJ Tamuka).
With these musical heavyweights providing the soundtrack, the atmosphere at the Hippodrome is sure to be electric.
