CHIEF Muusha the 13th, Mr Timothy Munorowazve Muusha, was this morning installed as the substantive chief for the Muusha people in Chimanimani.
He replaces the late Chief Willie Muusha who left the throne vacant following his death in 2013.
The colourful ceremony, which attracted Government officials and traditional leaders from across the country, was held at Mhakwe Primary School.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, July Moyo, while officially installing the Chief, deputy Minister, Marian Chombo urged the chief to compliment Government’s efforts in rural development.
Minister Moyo said it is crucial that traditional leaders continue complimenting Government’s rural development efforts as the country strives to attain Vision 2030 of an upper-middle class economy.
“It is crucial that you continue to work hand in hand with Government to collectively empower and bring development to your people,” he said.
Chief Muusha is 88 years old.
