NEW: Covid-19 booster shot uptake rises

AT LEAST 801 960 people have taken the third Covid-19 booster shot since its rollout began in December.

Latest data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care also shows that as at May 26, 2022, 6,2 million first doses of Covid-19 vaccines had been administered.

And, of that total, nearly 4,5 million Zimbabweans had received their second dose.

With around 4,48 million Zimbabweans having been fully vaccinated, the country’s Covid-19 vaccination rollout programme is among the best on the continent.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care has come up with monthly vaccination targets for each province, as it seeks to ramp up vaccinations.
