President Mnangagwa is expected this morning to officially open the newly built Mbare Traders Market, which sets the benchmark for a modern small to medium trading environment.

Construction of the new market came after a fire destroyed the old facility in November last year, a development that caused untold suffering to traders who lost their wares.

President Mnangagwa declared a state of disaster in Mbare following the inferno that destroyed stalls and goods, directing that the area be modernised within the shortest possible time.

The new state-of-the-art facility is purposefully designed and includes basic amenities like ablution facilities, parking bays and water provision, among others.
