NEW: Fuel price marginally drops

THE prices of fuel have marginally dropped in both US$ and local currency following the weekly review by the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA).

 

A litre of diesel has gone down to US$1,80 from US$1,86 while petrol is now costing US$1,70 from US$1,76.

 

The price of a litre of diesel also gone down by a few cents in local currency has from $714,91 to $714,45 and petrol now costs $675,35 from $677,32.

 

In a notice to the public today, ZERA the prices took effect yesterday.

 

“Please, be advised of the review in fuel prices for diesel and blend for the week July 18. The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio remains at E15. Operators may sell petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” reads the notice.
