BOUYANT Manica Diamonds Juniors coach, Hibron “Adhala Chommiey” Makukutu has expressed confidence that his team can continue to improve and be a formidable force in the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One.

The debutants took another step forward in their battle against demotion when they forced a 0-0 draw away to FC Wangu Mazodze.

They are now unbeaten in four games after picking three draws and a win.

Manica Diamonds Juniors are now on nine points after 14 matches.

“I am happy with the progress we are making. It is a process and the boys are now getting used to our style of play which has seen us score positive results in the recent past games. We are building momentum now and our quest is to remain more consistent,” said Makukutu.

Meanwhile, Mutare City Rovers surrendered top spot to GreenFuel after losing 2-0 away to Pro Melfort last weekend.

Their Chisumbanje-based opponents capitalised on that slip-up with a 1-0 victory over former Premiership side Buffaloes to leave the title race wide open.

GreenFuel now lead the municipal outfit with two points (32).

Buhera side Nzuma Bar did not fulfill their fixture against Grayham.
