A number of German investors have expressed interest to invest in the country, as relations between Harare and Berlin continue to improve.

A Government delegation attended the first Africa-Germany Trade and Investment Conference held in Frankfurt last week.

Addressing Tuesday’s post-Cabinet briefing, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa said:

“The nation is being informed that the conference discussed ways of increasing trade and investment between African countries and Germany.

“The Zimbabwean delegation highlighted trade and investment opportunities that German companies could take up.

“Afrika-Verein expressed readiness to organise a business mission to Zimbabwe and assist in countering the negative reportage on the country by the hostile international media houses.”
