ZimTrade is committed to exploring new markets for local products as it looks to broaden market opportunities for exporters, a senior official has said.

Speaking at a Buyers’ Conference in Harare on Wednesday, ZimTrade operations director Mr Similo Nkala said:

“The much talked-about AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area) launched last year is here to stay, and to remain relevant as a country, it calls upon us all to strive to grow our presence in the regional markets.

“As we look forward to global markets and supply chains recovering, for our survival as companies and to thrive in the current environment, it is critical that we all focus on being disruptive and innovative, developing new products, services, identifying new partners. The list is endless.”
