Government is working towards improving working conditions for health workers to stem brain drain.

Responding to questions from legislators in Parliament on Wednesday, Health and Child Care Deputy Minister Sleiman Kwidini said the strategy will encourage the retention of health professionals.

“As a ministry, we now have what we call a compact strategy that has been signed by developmental partners that will make sure that there is more training of health professionals,” he said.

“There is going to be retention of those health professionals, which will make them deliver quality health care to the people of Zimbabwe.”
