Colliery and Bata stadiums in Hwange and Gweru respectively have been given the nod to host Premiership matches after the custodians of the facilities undertook some renovations to meet the minimum required standards, while Mutare’s Sakubva Stadium remains sidelined.

This emerged after the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League placed the two facilities on the list of match venues that will host the top-flight league’s match-day eight fixtures.

Colliery Stadium is home to Hwange, while Bata Stadium in Gweru is used by newboys Shesham.

Mutare’s Sakubva Stadium remains suspended from hosting Premiership matches as virtually nothing has been done to improve the state of the turf and Manica Diamonds – the Premiership club resident in the eastern border city – continue playing their home matches in Triangle at Gibbo Stadium.
