NEW: Long drawn out corruption cases worry NACS

Online Reporter

The National Anti-Corruption Commission Strategy (NACS) subcommittee for Deterrence, Investigations and Adjudication of Corruption has expressed concern about delays in the finalisation of corruption cases at the courts.

This came out during the third high level NACS steering committee meeting held today where it was revealed that there are over 200 pending matters at the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

The meeting comprised Government ministers, Senior Civil Servants, Legislators, Captains of industry and the civic society.

NACS Steering Committee and Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) Chairperson Loice Matanda-Moyo called for continued capacitation of investigators to tackle increasingly complex corruption cases.
