FORMER Warriors skipper Knowledge Musona scored his sixth goal as his Saudi Arabian-side Al-Tai FC closed the season with a 3-0 home win over Al-Hazem FC on Monday evening.

The 32-year-old scored in the 76th minute to make it 2-0 for Al-Tai, who had taken a lead through Tobías Figueroa.

He also had a goal disallowed in added time of the first half.

Mukhtar Ali completed the rout in the 87th minute.

The win means Al-Tai finished sixth on the log.

Overall, the former Zimbabwe skipper completed his debut season in Saudi Arabia with six goals in 24 appearances.

“Good team performance. Season done. Thank you to all Al-Tai fans. We love you,” Musona, who joined the team from Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht in July 2021, tweeted after the game.  He retired from international duty in May 2022 after leading Zimbabwe to a third consecutive appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations.
