President Mnangagwa has commissioned the Zimbabwe State Pavilion at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.

The construction of the pavilion was part of the broad airport rehabilitation project under a US$153 million loan facility from China.

The new pavilion is self-contained, allowing dignitaries to check in and check out without going through the main terminal

“On behalf of the Government and people of Zimbabwe and on my own behalf, allow me to express my profound gratitude to the People’s Republic of China, under the leadership of His Excellency, President Xi Jinping, for extending support under our comprehensive and strategic partnership framework,” said President Mnangagwa.

“China was with us in our fight for independence and freedom, they are with us in the present as we scale up our quest to improve the quality of life for our people and they shall remain a close and dependable ally of Zimbabwe into the future.”
