MORE isolated showers are expected in the coming few days as the rainy season reaches its tail end, the Meteorological Services Department (MSD) has said.

In a statement, the MSD said as had been predicted, Tropical Storm Filipo has moved further southwards and is receding into the ocean eastward.

“As a result, today (Wednesday), mostly sunny and hot conditions prevailed across much of the country except for the northern provinces; all of Mashonaland and Harare Metropolitan, which had cloudy periods with isolated thunderstorms in some places.

“On Thursday, cloudy conditions are expected with isolated thunderstorms across much of the country. Isolated downpours are possible in places,” read part of the report.
