A local company, Leaptech, will soon launch an application to revolutionarise on-line learning under Government’s National Education E-Learning Programme (NEEP).
The app, which can be downloaded via Google Play Store, has been piloted in several schools in Manicaland, Mashonaland Central and Midlands from last year up to the end of this month.
The roll-out will see the project develop into a broader national school’s project.
Collaborative partnerships are already in place to deploy the project into Government’s NEEP.
The programme is envisaged to provide a comprehensive computer-aided training using ICT solutions, with specific emphasis on the deployment of e-learning across the country.
Many institutions are leveraging on ICT to enhance the quality of teaching.
“We are complementing the Government’s vision by ensuring continuous learning during the Covid-19 and post the pandemic period through the provision of e-learning to every learner, including advancing the development of science and technology nationwide. This is in line with the Government’s National Education E-Learning Programme,” the company said in a statement.
“Our platform is a total turnkey solution helping institutions to manage everything in a centralised way suiting every educational institution based on a stable and proven architecture. It offers full accountability, improving and simplifying schools administrative learning operations.
“It simultaneously manages and enhances efficiency due to the close monitoring and oversight of the students and/or teacher activities by the schools’ administration, Ministry of (Primary and Secondary) Education and parents.”
In Manicaland, the pilot project is at Fern Valley Primary School, which has used the app with success.
