NEW: Rwanda recruiting 477 Zimbabwean educators

RWANDA has started recruiting Zimbabwean educators following the signing of an agreement between Zimbabwe and Rwanda last year which defined parameters through which the educators could be employed.

Rwanda, through the Zimbabwean Government, has started flighting adverts inviting teachers to apply for placement in the Central African country.

There are 477 vacancies covering primary school, polytechnic, TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) and universities.

In a statement, Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Permanent Secretary Mr Simon Masanga said this is the culmination of an agreement between Harare and Kigali in December 2021.

Applications close on June 4, 2022.

“Candidates who will pass the pre-selection stage will be recommended by the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare of Zimbabwe to be registered in the online recruitment system managed by the two responsible ministries,” Mr Masanga said.
