NEW: Stray lions in Chimanimani

TWO stray lions, believed to have escaped from Devuli Range, have left villagers in Gwindingwi area, Ward 16 of Chimanimani District in panic mode.

The two lions have since killed two beasts and at least five goats.

Chimanimani District Development Coordinator Mr Joseph Manyurapasi confirmed that Zimbabwe National Parks officers have been deployed.

“There are two stray lions in the Gwindingwi are in Ward 16 of Chimanimani District. Zimbabwe National Parks officers have since been deployed and they are hunting down the predators.

 

“From the reports we have, two beasts and at least five goats that have been killed so far . There has been no human casualty,” said Mr Manyurapasi.
