NEW: “There are no emotional ties with Dynamos” – Emmanuel Paga

JUST five months ago, Emmanuel Paga was celebrating in Dynamos colours after scoring a last-minute stunner that forced a penalty shootout in the Chibuku Super Cup semi-final against Manica Diamonds.

DeMbare went on to win that clash and reach the final.

On Saturday, the script flips.

Now wearing the Manica Diamonds jersey, the Ghanaian forward will lead the attack against his former club at Sakubva Stadium, aiming to bring the high-flying Harare giants down to earth after their first win of the season last week.

But for Paga, it’s all business.

“There’s no emotional attachment,” he said.

“It’s just about going out there, doing what you know best and letting the result speak for itself.”

Having switched allegiances ahead of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, Paga says he is focused solely on delivering for his new team.

“I can’t say whether or not I will score. I just say, let the will of God be done,” he added.

“That’s what I said before that Chibuku Cup game, and it’s what I believe now.”

Asked if leaving a giant like Dynamos felt like a downgrade, Paga shrugged it off.

“In football, you don’t have a home. Today you are here, tomorrow you are somewhere else. I haven’t lost anything; this is my career.”

Despite Dynamos’ momentum following their 1-0 win over Simba Bhora last weekend, Paga insists Manica Diamonds are unfazed.

“There is no pressure. It’s all about hard work. If you work hard and believe in yourself, the results will follow.”

With Sakubva Stadium becoming a fortress for the Gem Boys, Saturday’s clash promises fireworks, and for Paga, a chance to prove once again that loyalty in football is earned match by match.
