NEW: Three die, 18 injured in road accident along Harare-Bulawayo highway

THREE people died while 18 were injured after a Nissan Caravan and Mazda 323 vehicle were involved in a head-on collision at the 133km peg along Harare-Bulawayo highway on Sunday.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the accident.

“ZRP confirms the death of three people and injury of 18 others in a road traffic accident that occurred at the 133 km peg along Harare-Bulawayo Road on June 26, 2022 at about 3pm.

“A motorist, who was driving a Nissan Caravan vehicle with 18 passengers on board, collided head-on with a Mazda 323 with one passenger on board.

“The driver of the Nissan Caravan and two occupants of the Mazda 323 vehicle died on the spot,” said police.
