NEW: Mavetera replaces Rwodzi at Pan-African Parliament

SEKE-CHIKOMBA Member of Parliament Tatenda Mavetera was sworn in as a member of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) on Tuesday at the ongoing meeting in Midrand, South Africa.

She replaces Chirumhanzu South legislator Barbara Rwodzi, who had to relinquish her seat following after being appointed Deputy Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry.

Sharing the news through its Twitter handle, Parliament of Zimbabwe said:

“Hon Tatenda Mavetera has just been sworn in as PAP MP replacing Hon Barbara Rwodzi. The Pan-African Parliament was set up to ensure full participation of African people in the economic development and integration of the continent.”
