NEW: Two Covid-19 deaths recorded in Manicaland

MANICALAND yesterday recorded two Covid-19 related deaths, figures released by the Ministry of Health and Child Care giving the country’s daily update reveal.

 

This takes the province’s total deaths to 558 since the pandemic broke out in the country in March 2020.

No other province recorded deaths from Covid-19 yesterday.

The figures also show that Manicaland did not record any recovery cases of the pandemic, alongside Midlands and Matabeleland North provinces.

One new case, which was local, was also recorded in the province. It brings Manicaland’s total of cumulative cases to 29 732. The province presently has 142 active cases.

Meanwhile, 6 264 867 people received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination across the country, with 4 602 713 being inoculated with the second jab. 856 440 have been vaccinated with the third dose.
