New urban grooves kid on the block

fusion of more than three rhythms of different genres.
The five-track album features songs such as “Summer Tune”, “Handinyare”, “Tokumbira Simba”, “Magamba” and “Kasindi”.
The youthful urban groover took time to release his album since he was short of cash  but said with the grace of the Almighty Lord, he managed to get funding to record the album.
“Being a soloist I produced the album with help from Martin Gosha of Gees Records in Glen View 3,” he said.
Then track “Summer Tune” depicts a shift from winter to summer. This is normally equated to the way a woman reacts to fashion in relation to the weather.
The song “Magamba” is a compliment to the freedom fighters’ immense contribution during the Chimurenga war. Some of his tracks are not new to revellers of Glen View as he sometimes plays them at local bashes organised by the likes of Gunshot, Lisho and Buddman.
The album is innovative and imaginative with some tracks spiced with the mbira and saxophone. As of now, the energetic teenager has proved to be a jack of all trades since he is juggling school and music.
“Right now I have not yet started holding shows since I am preparing to sit for my final exams.
“After completing school, I intend to hold live shows and become a full-time musician,” said Vicky Bee.
A staunch fan of dendera music, Vicky Bee is working on a 10-track sungura album which he said is due for release by the end of year.
“I like dendera music and at times I follow Tryson Chimbetu’s shows where I relieve him on stage,” he said.
