NEW: Woman (54) found dead

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a suspected murder case in Harare, after a 54-year-old woman’s body was found in New Tafara last week.

According to the police memo, the body of the victim was found half-naked with pants below knee-level and a deep cut on the head with one empty condom sachet and five unused condoms at the crime scene.

In a statement on Monday, national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations are underway.

“The ZRP is investigating circumstances surrounding a murder case in which the body of a 54-year-old woman was found in New Tafara, Harare on 5 March 2022 at around 0645 hours.

“The body was half-naked with pants pulled below knee level. A deep cut was observed on the head with one empty condom sachet and five unused condoms scattered at the crime scene.”
