THE ruling party, ZANU PF, is today holding its National Cell Day across the country, with party structures convening meetings aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation, verifying membership registers and recruiting new members.
The programme, being held simultaneously in all provinces, places the spotlight on the party’s cell structures, which are regarded as the foundation of ZANU PF’s organisational framework.
According to party officials, cell chairpersons are leading the meetings and delivering keynote addresses while overseeing the verification of members’ names to ensure that cell registers are up-to-date.
The meetings are also providing an opportunity to register new members as the party continues to expand its grassroots base.
In Harare province, ZANU PF provincial vice chairperson Cde Ephraim Fundukwa is attending a National Cell Day meeting at Cell 3 in Southlea Park, Churu Constituency.
The meeting is being addressed by Cde Monica Muchadehama.
