ZIMBABWE and Egypt have agreed to improve bilateral relations in key economic sectors such as pharmaceuticals, health and agriculture following Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga’s recent visit to the North African country.
Addressing Tuesday’s post-Cabinet briefing, ICT, Postal and Courier Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere – who was standing in for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa – said the proposed Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation between Zimbabwe and Egypt will look at ways of improving the health sector.
“Engagements with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Minister of Health and Population, and Intrapharma are expected to result in the relevant Memoranda of Understanding being signed soon…
“A Joint Permanent Commission between Zimbabwe and Egypt will be reconvened to give impetus to areas of cooperation in the fields of health and pharmaceuticals, construction and agriculture, among others,” he said.
