NEW: Zim nominated to chair ARIPO Council of Ministers

Zimbabwe has been nominated as the chair for the African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO) Council of Ministers. 

ARIPO is an inter-governmental organisation, which facilitates cooperation among member states in intellectual property matters, with the objective of pooling financial and human resources, and seeking technological advancement for economic, social, technological, scientific and industrial development. 

Commenting on its official Twitter account on Thursday, ARIPO said: 

“Zimbabwe has been duly nominated as the chair for the ARIPO Council of Ministers. Congratulations to Zimbabwe.” 

Zimbabwe is currently hosting the 18th session of the Council of Ministers of ARIPO, which was officially opened by President Mnangagwa in Victoria Falls on Thursday.
