NGA Chronicle and Safeguard booked their places in this year’s edition of the Bulawayo Amateur Football Association (Bafa) Townshend and Butcher final after winning their semi-final matches at Barbourfields outside grounds on Sunday.

Safeguard beat Unity Village 2-1, while Nga Chronicle won by a similar score line against Anolle Castings.

Zifa Bulawayo Zone chairman Charles Chunda said the final will be played on November 11, while the third and fourth place play-off will be played this Sunday.

“We decided to separate the two remaining games starting with the third place play-off this weekend and then the final the following weekend. All four teams have shown hunger to claim the championship, which is good moving forward,” said Chunda.

The four teams earned the right to compete in this year’s event because they fully paid the league affiliation fees. In the past all teams in the league were allowed to compete, but this year only those that were fully paid up were eligible.
