VISITING Ngezi Platinum were bitter after their match against Gunners which they won 1-0 at Callies in a ZIFA Northern Region Division One tie yesterday.

Ngezi claimed that their medic Timothy Madziva was smeared with what they believed to be anointing oil before the match.

The log leaders’ coach Clifton “Somalia” Kadurira complained after the game that “such tactics are not good for the development of the game. “We should be professional and learn to play professionally. How can they smear us with anointing oil. The match is being broadcast live throughout the country but some people are still using intimidating tactics its not good for our football,” said Kadurira.

Turning to the match Kadurira said he was happy that they collected maximum points and will keep on working hard.

“It was difficult to play away from home and collecting three crucial points is important. We managed to catch them unaware since they were pressing and we managed to beat them with a counter attack.

“The three points will prove crucial at the end of the season and we will continue to play well both at home and away,” Kadurira said.

The log leaders managed to collect maximum points through inspirational and experienced Daniel Kamunenga who beat a Gunners offside trap in the 77th minute.

The match was evenly balanced with former Zimbabwe international Ramson Zhuwawo doing well in midfield for Gunners.
