No to another inclusive Govt, says Zanu-PF

He said there were no losers in the party primaries but competitors who shared a common goal and one destiny.

“I, therefore, appeal to the comrades who may not have made it to the finishing line on time to rally behind the candidate chosen to represent the party in the coming harmonised elections,” he said while flanked by secretaries for Security and Legal Affairs Cdes Sydney Sekeramayi and Emmerson Mnangagwa respectively.

“This is an opportunity we can ill-afford to squander. We cannot entertain another inclusive Government in the future. The current one has overstayed the hospitality of the people of Zimbabwe.”

Cde Khaya Moyo urged elected party cadres to submit their nomination papers with the designated courts in their provinces today between 10am and 4pm without fail.
He said councillors should lodge their nomination papers at district offices in their provinces during the same time.

Cde Khaya Moyo said the high turnout at the primary elections was evidence of the party’s strength ahead of the polls.
He said it was the first time, Zanu-PF’s primary elections had drawn such a high turnout that saw some constituencies recording over 10 000 voters.
“It is a clear demonstration that Zanu-PF is a vibrant revolutionary party with a robust membership.

“It is crystal clear that the party is poised for a thunderous victory, come harmonised elections. The elections are reported to have been generally free, fair and transparent across provinces,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

He applauded the entire membership for the maturity, peace and discipline they displayed throughout the exercise.
High turnout at the primary elections across the country resulted in the party extending primary elections deadline from Tuesday to Wednesday while collation of results stretched to yesterday in some provinces.

Cde Khaya Moyo said all the names of successful candidates would be ready this morning.
He said the revolutionary party was not going to be distracted by some party cadres who were complaining about the election results.
He said Zanu-PF would remain focused to win the forthcoming polls.
