Nyabadza determined to see farming production up

party workers based at the headquarters.

The consignment consists of 1 500 kg maize and another 1 500kg of cowpeas seed.
The seed was received recently by Zanu-PF national chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo on behalf of the party’s workers.

Cde Khaya Moyo said Zanu-PF was the only people-centred party in Zimbabwe because of its policies that were founded on improving people’s lives.
He urged the workers to make use of the seed.

“We are aware of the conditions of your service and they are not satisfactory hence this donation.
“We are also very much aware that you are hard working and also know that you are revolutionary and determined. Those who won’t make use of the land and sell this seed we will know about it,” he said.

Cde Nyabadza who is also Arda board chairman and former Zanu-PF provincial chairman for Manicaland province, said the objective of the donation was to empower people.
“Some of us are a product of this institution (Zanu-PF) and nine out of 10 successful businesspeople are a product of Zanu-PF,” said Cde Nyabadza.

“As business, we know that you are a key component of the success of all programmes.”
Zanu-PF national secretary for production and labour, Cde Dzikamayi Mavhaire, said what was important was to make use of the land.

“Ownership of land doesn’t create wealth and owning factories and mines does not create wealth too. It is in the production where wealth is created and we are now geared for more. We are now utilising the resources that we have as demonstrated by this donation,” he said.

The donaion followed the launch of the input scheme by President Mugabe at Zanu-PF headquarters.
The scheme by President Mugabe will benefit all Zimbabweans despite of their political affiliation. All the programmes are part of Zanu-PF’s empowerment initiatives to ensure self sustainance.
