One person died, while another was seriously injured when a Toyota Hilux they were travelling in collided head-on with a kombi in Odzi, along the Harare-Mutare Highway last week. Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa confirmed the accident.

Insp Kakohwa said Patrick Chinengundu decided to make a U-turn at the 32km peg, resulting in Philip Kavhera hitting him on the driver’s side. Two passengers from both cars sustained injuries and were ferried to Mutare Provincial Hospital where one of them, a 56-year-old woman, died upon admission.
