DETECTIVES with the Drugs and Narcotics Unit have arrested a 38-year-old Odzi woman for dealing in drugs after she was found in possession of 55 sachets of dagga and bottles of Broncleer cough syrup.

Dorcas Ndamuka of Marambakutongwa Village will soon appear in court facing charges of contravening 157 (1) (a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23.

It is alleged that on July 16 detectives received information that the suspect was dealing in dangerous drugs at her homestead in Odzi.

Acting on the tip-off, detectives proceeded to Marambakutongwa Village where they approached Ndamuka.

A search was conducted in Ndamuka’s bedroom.

The cops recovered a black plastic bag containing loose dagga, 55 sachets of dagga and 12x100mls of Broncleer cough syrup which was hidden under the bed.

The seized dagga weighed approximately 1.250kg.
