Old Mutual sparks festive spirit with 10-Day Celebration at Westgate Shopping Mall

OLD Mutual Zimbabwe is set to kick off the festive season with an exciting new event themed “10 Days to 2026”, a vibrant 10-day festival running from 22 to 31 December 2025 at Westgate Shopping Mall.

The lively celebration will transform Westgate into a bustling cultural, commercial and community hub, designed to uplift spirits and boost local economic activity during one of the busiest retail periods of the year.

This year’s edition emphasises economic impact by providing a dynamic platform for SMEs, food vendors, crafters, entertainers and mall tenants.
Attendees can look forward to daily roller skating shows, themed experiences, extended shopping hours and a lively night market all aimed at increasing foot traffic and encouraging spending.

Celebrating Zimbabwean identity and culture lies at the heart of the festival with activities ranching from the soulful Jazz Night opening on 22 December to Carols & Choirs, Culture Day and a spectacular New Year’s Eve Countdown Concert, visitors will enjoy a rich tapestry of traditional and contemporary performances. The event aims to bring families and communities together in a joyful, shared festive atmosphere.

Aligned with Old Mutual’s commitment to sustainability and community empowerment, “10 Days to 2026” remains free to attend, with only a small fee for seating at select performances. The festival features family-friendly activities such as the Santa Box, kids’ entertainment, wellness sessions and cultural showcases, ensuring inclusivity, accessibility and safety for all visitors.

This celebration also reflects Old Mutual’s vision of transforming Westgate Mall from a traditional shopping center into a vibrant lifestyle and entertainment destination. Managed within Old Mutual’s national property portfolio, Westgate continues to evolve as a hub for community connection and experiential retail.

Highlights of the 10-day programme include Culture Day on 27 December, a Free Gym Weekend from 28–29 December, Live Radio Streaming on 30

December and the grand New Year’s Eve Concert on 31 December featuring top local acts such as Feli Nandi, EXQ, Travellers Band and DJ King Her.
With its blend of music, culture, food and family fun, “10 Days to 2026” promises to be Zimbabwe’s most exciting festive celebration — a true community gathering as the nation welcomes the new year.
