FORMER Highlanders striker Ozias Zibande has retraced his steps back home from Botswana to join Castle Lager Premier Soccer League defending champions Chicken Inn on a two-year contract. The diminutive, but effective Zibande walked out on Bosso during mid-season last year for Bostwanatop-flight club Gaborone United who later loaned him out to Gilport Lions.
“We can confirm that Ozias Zibande has joined us on a two-year deal. We are in the process of registering him with the Premier Soccer League. We signed the player upon the recommendation of our technical team,” said Chicken Inn board secretary Tawengwa Hara.
Zibande, who came back to the country soon after the conclusion of the Botswana 2015/2016 Premier Soccer League action in May, reportedly started training with the Gamecocks last Wednesday. At Gilport Lions, Zibande, fondly known as Ozizi, netted seven goals in 14 appearances.
