THE Pakistan national men’s team will play a tri-series against Ireland and Zimbabwe in the fiscal year 2026-27, the budget for which has been approved by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), sources told Geo Super on Monday.
According to the insiders, the cricket board has approved the budget for the new and scheduled series of men’s and women’s cricket in the budget for the financial year 2026-27, which includes a tri-series assignment against Ireland and Zimbabwe.
Notably, the tri-series against Ireland and Zimbabwe will be the national men’s team’s second, as they are already scheduled to take on Sri Lanka and England in a tri-nation ODI series this year.
Sources further shared that during their tour of Pakistan, the Ireland men’s team will also play a Test, while the Green Shirts are also scheduled to host Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Sri Lanka will tour Pakistan for two Tests and three T20Is, while New Zealand will play two red-ball fixtures against the home side.
During the fiscal year, Pakistan men’s team will also tour Ireland for a one-off Test and England for five ODIs and one red-ball match.
Meanwhile, the national women’s cricket team are due to host New Zealand for a three-match T20I series. They will later tour West Indies for three ODIs, and as many T20Is, sources added.
Furthermore, Pakistan Shaheens are also set to tour Australia for eight T20 matches during the next financial year, while the England Under-19 side will visit Pakistan to play three One-Day matches and two three-day fixtures.
In addition, the Sri Lanka Under-17 team are scheduled to tour Pakistan, while the PCB will also host a Women’s Under-19 tri-series featuring Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Sources further revealed that the PCB Governing Board has also approved the men’s domestic, women’s domestic and regional-level tournaments for the 2026-27 financial year. – geosuper.tv
