A PHOTOGRAPHER with a Mutare photo processing company was arrested after he forged a customer’s driver’s licence and identity card. Enerst Chivasa (22) who works as a photo printer at Yelim Photos was remanded out of custody to today (Friday) when he appeared before Mutare magistrate Ms Nyasha Kuture last week. Chivasa was not asked to plead.
Prosecuting was Mr Donald Mudadirwa. Allegations were that Leonard Muperere who was not a holder of a Zimbabwean driver’s licence approached Chivasa with an identity card and driver’s licence belonging to Tatenda Russel Sithole. “Using a Samsung CPU and a NOC desktop, Chivasa produced a photocopy of Sithole’s licence and identity card bearing Muperere’s photograph.
“Muperere later secured employment as a taxi driver using the forged documents,” said Mr Mudadirwa.
