Platinum maintain flawless start

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has admitted that his 10-men side was not impressive, despite edging Ngezi Platinum 1-0 away at Baobab Stadium on Monday, to maintain their 100 percent record in four games.

The platinum miners played the last 15 minutes with a man short, after midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku was red-carded but went on to hold on to Walter Musonaas fourth minute goal.

While they have collected a maximum 12 points in four matches, FC Platinum showed character by another away win in which they had to banish some numerical disadvantage.

But Mapeza has appeared to be a hard-to-please coach, admitting they did not play some beautiful football.

a?To be honest it was not an easy game for us.

a?People expect us to play some beautiful football everyday but in football you can still get a positive result even if you are not entertaining,a? Mapeza said.

a?We might not have been that impressive but at the end of the day what is important is collecting maximum points.

a?We could have scored more goals because we had some good chances. It is good we managed to protect our early lead and I am happy with the three points.a?

FC Platinumas high start to the season has already seen them being touted as serious title contenders.

They are seeking their first league title since their maiden PSL season in 2011. a Online
