Plumtree Takes the Spotlight! Independence Bash kicks off with a bang

MATABELELAND South is turning up the heat as locals flock to Plumtree High School grounds for this year’s Provincial Independence Day blowout!

In a dramatic twist from the usual Gwanda setting, the celebrations have shifted west — all thanks to President Mnangagwa’s decentralisation drive, which now sees the party moving from town to town.

And the entertainment? Nothing short of electric! Legendary Sotja Moyo and his iconic Black Umfolosi crew are ready to set the stage on fire with their signature harmonies and high-energy performances.

Plumtree is buzzing — the drums are beating, the flags are flying, and the spirit of independence is alive and kicking!
