adminJonhera denied both counts and was remanded to July 17 on US$30 bail.
Allegations against Jonhera arose on August 14 last year when he arrested Dorothy Tindirika (30) of Unit G, Chitungwiza for contravening a section of the Road Traffic Act.
This was after Tindika had been driving her car against the one way road sign at Makoni Shopping Centre.
The court heard that Jonhera asked her to pay US$20 fine for the offence but she pleaded with him to bring it later since she had no money.
When Tindirika later went to the police station, she was escorted to the charge office by two identified as Constables Kamwanzura and Nyanombe to pay the fine.
Members manning the office denied her to pay the fine saying the matter be determined by the courts.
The two Constables accompanied her to back Sergeant Jonhera’s office and gave him the money before they went away.
It is further alleged that Jonhera was left inside his office with Tindirika and never returned the money and converted it to his own use.
After persuading her to stop worrying, he then reached out to her as he tried to fondle and kiss her but she refused.
Tindirika later on filed a report against him leading to his arrest.
Mr Lovert Muringwa prosecuted.
