Police are actively seeking the arrest of Abraham Nkomo, a graduate of Midlands State University, following the tragic discovery of his late wife, Innoncetia Queen Gasela, whose body was found in Zambia.

Gasela had been missing since May 2022.

Nkomo, who previously operated a popular family butchery in Plumtree town, had been utilizing his degree in Retail and Logistics Management to efficiently manage stock at the business.

His wife, Innoncetia, was employed as a campaign manager for the opposition MDC party.

On the day she disappeared, Gasela had informed Nkomo of her intention to travel to Bulawayo for a political meeting but failed to return home that evening.

The police have confirmed that her body has since been located in Zambia, prompting them to seek an interview with her husband.

A police source stated, “We are looking to speak with Abraham Nkomo as part of our investigation into the circumstances surrounding his wife’s disappearance and subsequent death.”

Meanwhile, a relative of Nkomo expressed concern over the situation, suggesting that he is being unfairly targeted.

“We believe Abraham has crucial information that could prove his wife’s murder, and now he has gone into hiding, fearing for his life,” the relative said.

The community is left in shock as investigations continue, raising questions about the events leading up to Gasela’s tragic death.

Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as they work to uncover the truth behind this disturbing case.
