Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Celebrates Global Money Week

THE Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe along with several financial institutions, is participating in Global Money Week (GMW) 2025 to inspire the next generation to make informed financial decisions.

GMW is an annual global awareness campaign designed to ensure that young people develop financial awareness from an early age. The initiative helps them gradually acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary for making sound financial decisions, ultimately leading to financial well-being and resilience.

The 13th edition of GMW take place from March 17 to 23.

This year’s theme, “Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow,” emphasises critical thinking in digital finance. It aims to equip young people with the ability to distinguish between good and bad financial advice as they navigate their journey to financial freedom.

Since its inception, GMW has reached over 60 million children and young people in 176 countries worldwide.

“The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe joins the rest of the world in celebrating Global Money Week 2025. We unite in this Annual Financial Literacy Campaign to inspire the next generation to make informed financial decisions,” the central bank said.
