Potraz holds strategic planning workshop

ZIMBABWE’S telecommunications regulator Potraz is holding its 2024 strategic planning workshop at a local hotel in the country’s second-largest city, Bulawayo.

The event, which started on Tuesday and ends on Saturday, is being officially opened today by the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr Tatenda Mavetera. She is accompanied by ICT Deputy Minister Dingumuzi Phuti and ICT Permanent Secretary Dr Beulah Chirume.

Also present at the workshop is Potraz director general Dr Gift Machengete, Potraz board chairperson Mr Tawanda Zvobgo, Potraz deputy director general Mr Alfred Marisa and Potraz officials.

Today’s programme includes stakeholder contributions from companies such as the Telecommunications Operators of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Internet Access Providers Associations, Zimpost, DHL Zimbabwe, Consumer Protection Commission, and Consumer Council of Zimbabwe.
