FAST-rising dancehall musician and Attraktion Clan founding member Preen Keen, real name Thomas Ndaramo, is working on three new videos that will be released at end of this month.Ndaramo, who is one of the few consistent and professional dancehall musicians in Mutare, has taken his musical career to a higher level by releasing classy videos despite financial constraints that has attacked most dancehall artistes in the eastern border city.
The youthful musician last Friday proved critics wrong and put up a sterling performance at The Platinum (Pick and Save), warming up the stage for Kinnah and Winky D.
In an interview on the sidelines of the show, he said he was shifting his focus to releasing videos for singles “Mamaera”, “VaMupfumi” and “Ndinorwadziwa pamoyo”.
On the song “VaMupfumi”, Ndaramo hails music promoter, Isau Mupfumi, for supporting local artistes and addressing their concerns, while he emotionally dedicates the song “Ndinorwadziwa pamoyo” to his late mother.
“It has been quite a difficult, but worthwhile ride to reach where I am now.
“Dancehall music is lacking support here in Mutare, but we have tried hard to keep up appearance under the difficult conditions.
“In a bid to make my music more popular, I will release three new videos for my fans by end of this month. These three songs have so much significance to me, that is why I decided to record them first. I intend to come up with a compilation video album by end of the year,” said Ndaramo.
He paid tribute to fellow church members at Spirit Embassy for spiritually helping him prosper in his musical career.
The Freeman-inspired chanter has so far featured on a medley video with artistes such as Killer T, Jay C and Seh Calaz. He said he was currently working on a collaboration with Kinnah.
