PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has left this morning for a historic State visit to Ghana, marking an important milestone in Zimbabwe–Ghana bilateral relations.
In Accra, President Mnangagwa will meet his Ghanian counterpart, President John Dramani Mahama and together, they will preside over the first structured Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC).

He was seen off at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by the two Vice Presidents, Dr Constantino Chiwenga, Cde Kembo Mohadi, Cabinet Ministers, Service Chiefs and senior Government officials.
The signing of the JPCC will further cement ties between the two countries.

It will deepen cooperation across critical sectors, which include trade, investment, tourism and agriculture.
It is also expected that while in Accra, President Mnangagwa will visit some of the key national projects being implemented within Ghana.

The relations between Accra and Harare date back to the days of the liberation struggle, where Ghana supported Zimbabwe’s pursuit of independence.
